Martina Chavez
Orginally from San
Antonio, Texas, Martina trained with Buddy and Susan Treviño and Maryland Youth Ballet. Martina
joined Oregon Ballet Theater as an apprentice in 2006 and was promoted into the company in
2007. She has been featured as the White
Cat in Christopher Stowell’s The
Sleeping Beauty, Act III, Yuri Possokhov’s Raymonda, and the Wife in Jerome Robbins’ The
Concert. She has also performed in ballets such
as George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, A Midsummer Night’s
Dream, Rubies, Slaughter on 10th Avenue, Peter Martin’s Ash, and
Christopher Wheeldon’s Rush.
